Background and Purpose: Learning disability refers to a heterogeneous group of disorders that may manifest as difficulties in reading, writing, or mathematical abilities. Children with learning disabilities often face significant academic challenges. Therefore, the objective of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of music therapy in improving the performance of students with learning disabilities.
Method: This research employed an applied research design, and data were collected through a descriptive (non-experimental) library research method. A systematic review was conducted by searching English articles from databases such as Science Direct, Google Scholar, PubMed, and Scopus. The keywords used included "music therapy, learning disorder, writing disorder, dyslexia, math disorder," along with the general title "The effectiveness of music therapy on improving the performance of students with learning disabilities." Additionally, relevant Persian articles were searched in databases such as Noormags, Civilica, Magiran, Elmnet, and Javidan Daneshgahi. The evaluation included articles published from 2012 to 2022.
Findings: The results demonstrated that music therapy is effective in reducing symptoms and improving the performance of students with learning disabilities.

Conclusion: Music therapy leads to improved reading and writing performance in students with learning disabilities. Therefore, based on this research, it is recommended that mental health professionals and educational authorities utilize music therapy as a complementary intervention to enhance the academic performance of students with reading and writing difficulties.
