Abstract:   (344 Views)
Background and Objective: One of the psychological skill variables is self-confidence; goal-setting is one of the important psychological skills for athletes. The aim of this study is to investigate the prediction of sports performance based on self-confidence and goal-setting among roller skaters.
Method: The present research is a descriptive correlation study using regression analysis; the statistical population consisted of roller skaters in the city of Saveh in the year 2021. The sampling method was purposive sampling. The participants included 106 individuals who were selected through purposive sampling. They completed the Ottawa Mental States Assessment Tool (Durand-Bush et al., 2001) and the Athlete Subjective Performance Scale (Nahum, 2016).
Results: The results indicated a significant relationship between the research variables. Furthermore, the sports performance of roller skaters is predicted based on self-confidence and goal-setting.
Conclusion: Based on the observed results, it can be concluded that the sports performance of roller skaters can be predicted based on self-confidence and goal-setting.
