Background and Porpuse: Mindfulness training has been shown to enhance psychological well-being, but its impact on resilience and sports attributions among female athletes is less explored. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness training on improving resilience and sport-specific attributions in female athletes of Neka City in Iran.
Method: This quasi-experimental study employed a pre-test, post-test control group design. The participants consisted of 30 female athletes from various sports clubs in Neka City, selected through convenience sampling. Participants were randomly assigned to either an experimental group (n=15), which received mindfulness training, or a control group (n=15), which received no intervention. The mindfulness training program spanned eight weeks. Data were collected using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC, Connor-Davidson, 2003) and the short form of Sport Attributional Style Scale (SASS, Hanrahan and Grove, 1990) at both pre-test and post-test stages. Statistical analysis was conducted using ANCOVA in SPSS-24.
Results: The findings indicated that mindfulness training significantly improved resilience and sports attributions in the experimental group compared to the control group.

Conclusion: Mindfulness training can effectively enhance resilience and positively influence sports attributions among female athletes. These results suggest that incorporating mindfulness practices into training programs could benefit athletes' psychological resilience and their attribitionss.
